Cultural Strategy & Programming

I work with organizations to create art and culture programmes that empower underserved communities around the world. Past projects include: Made From Cloth fashion incubator Navigating the business side of the fashion industry can be difficult for creatives. As a brand advisor, I work with emerging fashion designers to grow sustainable brands and communicate their brand vision clearly. TEDxYouthInspire conference, Accra, Ghana The first TEDx conference exclusively for African youth, was an open space for some of Ghana’s youngest visionaries to collaborate and reevaluate the possibilities of creating a better global community. Mirror Mirror workshop, Brooklyn, New York At the special request of U.S. State Department Cultural Envoy Toni Blackman, I developed a workshop curriculum encourages self-confidence and healthy lifestyle choices among adolescent girls to accompany her “Rhyme Like A Girl” workshop. The Stoop Global, Brooklyn, New York For this Brooklyn-based youth organization, I hosted the first international guest speaker. The event was an opportunity for The Stoop's young people to meet with UNFPA Fellow, Guelord Mbaenda, visiting the U.S. from Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo. Some of Us Are Brave Workshop, Johannesburg, South Africa I developed curriculum development by request of the South African-based Trail of Hope Foundation for a three-part photo-documentary workshop for young female survivors of exploitation, abuse and conflict.
